Welcome to the web site of Bonnar Keenlyside. You will find here a range of the kind of work we have done in the past, as well as some examples of current activities. If you are interested in our work, the best way to find out more is to be in touch directly on 0845 0170900 or through info@b-k.co.uk
The current projects (November 2011) we're working on are:
Winning Words - for this Inspire mark project, planning poetry related performances on the Olympic Park during the Games and Paralympics, plus an online interactive poetry based educational game (The Generator) as part of LOCOG's Get Set Goes Global programme.
Zorlu Theatres, Istanbul - following preparation of the business case for the first purpose built theatres in Istanbul (a musical theatre at 2300 seats and drama theatre at 750 seats), we have written the tender documents and produced a shortlist of international managements to operate the theatres on behalf of our client.
Spa Theatre, Felixstowe - on behalf of Suffolk Coastal District Council, we are delivering an Options Appraisal for the Spa (900 seats), which is currently being operated as a commercial theatre.
Oval House Theatre, London - we have worked over many years with Oval House as it seeks a site for a new theatre in Lambeth. The latest potential site is in Brixton and we are supporting the theatre as it takes its plans forward to an application to the latest ACE capital funding programme.
East Lothian Council and Dunbar Arts Trust - an original feasibility study into the redevelopment of the Corn Exchange as an arts centre has been widened to consider the needs of artists and creative workers in Dunbar, the needs of the local community and the best options to meet demand.
Travelling Gallery - the Gallery tours contemporary art throughout Scotland in its customised mobile gallery. We are working with it to look at new income streams, including developing its services for corporate markets and the extension of its services to new markets.
Sheffield Contemporary Arts Forum (SCAF) - SCAF is a pioneering movement seen as a model for cross-city collaborative practice in the visual arts. Its members are Bloc Art Space, S1 Artspace, Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust, Hallam University Site Gallery and Yorkshire Artspace. Bk is supporting SCAF on an organisational development programme considering activity, governance, staffing and business planning.
